Morning:

Start your day with an early departure from Moshi, traveling by car or minibus to Materuni Village, home to the majestic Materuni Waterfall. Along the way, enjoy the scenic views of the countryside as you head toward the village, which sits at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Arrival at Materuni Village & Cultural Experience.
Upon reaching Materuni Village, you'll meet your local guide and receive a warm welcome. Before beginning the hike, take the opportunity to explore the village and immerse yourself in Chagga culture. Learn about the traditional coffee-making process and, if you're lucky, participate in a hands-on demonstration, tasting freshly brewed coffee made from locally grown beans.

Hike to Materuni Waterfall.

Embark on a picturesque hike through lush coffee plantations and verdant rainforest. The hike, which usually takes 45 minutes to an hour, offers beautiful scenery and a chance to learn about the local flora and fauna from your guide. Along the way, stop to appreciate the landscape and perhaps spot some of the area's unique bird species.

Arrival at Materuni Waterfall.

Upon reaching the base of the waterfall, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the towering cascade as it plunges into a crystal-clear pool. Take some time to cool off by wading or swimming in the refreshing waters, relax on the rocks, or simply soak in the serene surroundings.
